Yes! It’s too bad that “the Man” is using 3D printers for guns. Great work, as always, sir!
Thanks mate! : )
The enormity of this technology does blow my mind – I hardly know where to start. Marx got it spectacularly wrong imagining people would ever tire of making and consuming crap, BUT what does happen when every single person actually possesses the technological means to produce any and all the plastic crap they ever wanted for themselves, for free!? It’s massive, Immense!! But at least the Man ain’t lost his sense of humour – demanding this new technology mustn’t be allowed to get into the wrong hands – because it might provide the general American populous easy access to cheap firearms! Ha! lol : )
It reminds of this guy back in the day, who lived in New York, I think, and he had created all of his furniture from FedEx boxes. He posted “How To” pictures on his blog. In short, FedEx sent him a cease and desist letter, and demanded that he return his furniture to them, because he had used boxes “incorrectly”. Amazing then and amazing now! “Give me free!”
Gosh, that’s just unbelievable isn’t it!
What I think the corporations might do to combat this threat to their existence is try to somehow copyright everything to the max, (like your example) so people don’t ‘own’ any of the shit they buy but simply licence permission to use it – a sort of neo-feudalism. It’s a massive conceptual leap but it is sort of happening already with Apps, ebooks and music.
You’re spot on. I do not think that it is too much of a leap at all. You can read how naive and unprepared most officials sound in regards to not thinking ahead like you are 😉
I’m not so smart… the REAL trick to being free (freedom) living within the madhouse is somehow staying under the radar! Toots has got it down, zombie cats ate my gun, maaan… ; ) lol
Zombie cats are more dangerous than people realize!!! LOL, that is so funny about Toots 😉
…zombie cats ate my gun, maaan…
Amen to being Under the radar 🙂
